Training Program in Food Safety and Quality Control Held in M. Dhiggaru

Training Program in Food Safety and Quality Control Held in M. Dhiggaru under the "Promotion of Blue Economy in the Fisheries Sector of the Maldives" project.

Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources, in collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), is conducting a training program in M. Dhiggaru.

This program is a part of the "Promotion of Blue Economy in the Fisheries Sector of the Maldives" project. The aim of a training program is to raise awareness of food safety regulations and quality control measures among those involved in home-based food production and food product sales.

The training program began on September 22, 2024, and will continue until September 26, 2024, in M. Dhiggaru.

The workshop was attended by those who are actively involved in home-based food production and sales in Dhiggaru, as well as those who want to start similar businesses.

A total of 60 participants, including 56 women and 4 men, participated in the training session. The training was led by Deputy Director General ,Mr. Adam Manik from the Ministry. The training attended participants from the Ministry's project activities supported by JICA.
