High-Level Technical Delegation From the First Institute of Oceanography, China, Meets With Minister Ahmed Shiyam

Minister Ahmed Shiyam met with the High-level technical delegation from the First Institute of Oceanography (FIO), Ministry of Natural Resources of China.

The Chinese delegation included esteemed researchers Mr. Yikai Feng, Mr. Weihong Zhang, and Ms. Yang Liu; Engineers Mr. Huayi Zhang and Ms. Xinmei Cui from FIO; and Mr. Chujin Liang, a researcher from the First Institute of Oceanography (SIO).

The discussions focused on fostering cooperation through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Maldives Marine Research Institute. This MoU aims to enhance collaboration in marine research and training, as well as to identify potential joint projects that could advance blue economy initiatives in the Maldives.
