Minister met with IFAD Country Director Ms. Sherina Tabassum

Ms. Sherina Tabassum, the Country Director for the Maldives and Sri Lanka at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), met with Minister Ahmed Shiyam to discuss the preparation of IFAD’s new Country Strategy Note.

During the meeting, the Minister briefed the IFAD mission on the government's policies regarding fisheries and aquaculture development and requested support in areas where IFAD has a comparative advantage.

Minister Shiyam was accompanied at the meeting by State Minister Aminath Shareef, Permanent Secretary Dr. Aminath Shafia, Director General Dr. Hussain Sinan, and MAP Project Director Shafana Rasheed.
