Fishing Industry Expansion a Strategic Priority - President Dr Mohamed Muizzu

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu emphasised that fishing has been an integral part of Maldivian life since the nation's earliest inhabitants. President noted that fish has served as the staple dietary source for Maldivians throughout history and continues to do so today. 

The President highlighted the Government's commitment to revitalising and expanding the fisheries industry, enhancing productivity, and improving the incomes of fishing families. Furthermore, President emphasised the need to modernise the sector and create better opportunities for fishermen.

Concluding his message on the occasion of National Fishermen's Day, the President extended his felicitations to all those engaged in the fisheries sector and their families.
