ބީ.ބީ.އެން.ޖޭ އެގްރިމެންޓަކީ ހަމަހަމަކަމާއި، ޙަޤީޤީ ޤާބިލުކަން އިތުރުކުރުމުގެ އުޞޫލުތަކުގެ މައްޗަށް ބިނާކޮށް ތަންފީޛުކުރެވިއްޖެނަމަ، އޭގެ ފައިދާ އެންމެންނަށް، ޚާއްޞަކޮށް ރާއްޖެ ފަދަ އެބައެއްގެ ދިރިއުޅުން ކަނޑާ ގުޅިލާމެހިފައިވާ ފަރާތްތަކަށް ލިއްބައިދޭނެ އެއްބަސްވުމަކަށް ވާނޭ ކަމުގައި މަސްވެރިކަމާއި ކަނޑުގެ ވަސީލަތްތަކާ ބެހޭ ވުޒާރާއިން ވިދާޅުވެއްޖެއެވެ.

މިނިސްޓްރީން މިހެން ވިދާޅުވެފައިވަނީ [އެގްރިމެންޓް އަންޑަރ ދަ ޔުނައިޓެޑް ނޭޝަންސް ކޮންވެންޝަން އޮން ދަ ލޯ އޮފް ދަ ސީ އޮން ދަ ކޮންޒަވޭޝަން އެންޑް ސަސްޓެއިނަބަލް ޔޫޒް އޮފް މެރިން ބަޔޮލޮޖިކަލް ޑައިވަރސިޓީ އޮފް އޭރިއާޒް ބިޔޯންޑް ނޭޝަނަލް ޖުރިސްޑިކްޝަން] ނުވަތަ [ބީ.ބީ.އެން.ޖޭ އެގްރީމެންޓް]  ތަންފީޛުކުރުމަށް ތައްޔާރުވުމުގެ ގޮތުން މި މަހުގެ 18 އިން 29 އަށް އެމެރިކާގެ ނިއުޔޯކްގައި ބޭއްވުނު ޕްރިޕަރޭޓަރީ ކޮމިޝަންގެ ހަވާސާގައި [ފިޝަރީޒް އެންޑް ބަޔޯޑައިވަރސިޓީ ބިޔޯންޑް ނޭޝަނަލް ޖުރިސްޑިކްޝަން] ގެ ނަމުގައި ބޭއްވުނު ސައިޑް އިވެންޓްގައެވެ.

ދުނިޔޭގެ ކާބޯތަކެއްޗާބެހޭ ޖަމުޢިއްޔާ (ފުޑް އެންޑް އެގްރިކަލްޗަރ) އިން އިނތިޒާމްކޮށްގެން ބޭއްވި މި ޕެނަލް ޑިސްކަޝަންގައި ދިވެހިރާއްޖޭގެ ފަރާތުން ވާހަކަ ދައްކަވަމުން ޑިރެކްޓަރ ޖެނެރަލް ޑރ. ޙުސައިން ސިނާން ވަނީ ކަނޑުގެ ދުޅަހެޔޮކަމާއި ދިވެހި މުޖުތަމަޢުތަކުގެ ދެމިއޮތުމާ ގުޅިލާމެހިފައިވާ މިންވަރު ފާހަގަކުރައްވާފައެވެ. އަދި ކަނޑުތައް ހިމާޔަތްކުރުމަށް ބައިނަލްއަގުވާމީ މައިދާނުގައި ރާއްޖެއިން ކުރަމުންދާ މަސައްކަތްތަކަށް އިޝާރާތްކުރައްވައި ޑރ. ސިނާން ވިދާޅުވީ ކަނޑުތައް ރައްކައުތެރިކުރުމަށާއި ދެމެހެއްޓެނިވި ގޮތެއްގައި ކަނޑުގެ ވަސީލަތްތައް ބޭނުންކުރުމަށް ގޮވާލައި ބައިނަލްއަގުވާމީ މަންސަތަކުގެ އެންމެ ކުރީ ސަފަށް ރާއްޖެއިން ނުކުންނަ އެއް ސަބަބަކީވެސް ކަނޑުގެ ވަސީލަތްތަކުގެ މައްޗަށް ރާއްޖެ ބަރޯސާވެފައިވާ މިންވަރު ކަމުގައެވެ.

ޑރ. ޙުސައިން ސިނާންގެ ވާހަކަފުޅުގައި ބީ.ބީ.އެން.ޖޭ އެއްބަސްވުމުގެ ދަށުން ތަފާތު ގިނަ ކަންކަން ހާސިލްކުރެވިދާނެކަން ފާހަގަކުރެއްވިއެވެ. މީގެ ތެރޭގައި ސަރަޙައްދީ ފެންވަރުގައި މަސްވެރިކަން ރާވައި، ހިންގާ ބެލެހެއްޓުމުގެ މަސައްކަތް ކުރާ ޖަމްޢިއްޔާތަކާއި ތިމާވެށި ރައްކާތެރިކުރުމަށް ޤައުމުތަކުގެ މެދުގައި ވެވޭ އެއްބަސްވުންތަކުގެ ދަށުން ކުރެވޭ މަސައްކަތްތައް އެއްހަމަ ކުރުމާއި، ޤައުމުތަކުގެ އިޚްތިޞާޞުން ބޭރުގައިވާ ސަރަޙައްދުތައް ބެލެހެއްޓުމާ ގުޅޭގޮތުން ނިންމާ ނިންމުންތަކުގައި ރާއްޖެ ފަދަ ކުދި ޖަޒީރާ ޤައުމުތަކަށް ފުރިހަމައަށް ބައިވެރިވުމުގެ މަގު މި އެއްބަސްވުން މެދުވެރިކޮށް ފަހިވެގެންދިޔުން ހިމެނެއެވެ. އަދި މީގެ އިތުރުން، ތަރައްޤީވަމުންއަންނަ ޤައުމުތަކުގެ ޤާބިލުކަން އިތުރުކޮށް، ދުނިޔޭގެ ފަންނީ މާހިރުންނާ އެކު މަސައްކަތްކުރުމަށްވެސް މި އެއްބަސްވުމުގެ ޒަރިއްޔާއިން ފުރުސަތުލިބިގެންދާނެއެވެ.

      ބީ.ބީ.އެން.ޖޭ އެގްރިމެންޓަކީ ދުނިޔޭގެ ކަނޑުތަކުގެ ޤާނޫނުގެ ދަށުން، މާކަނޑުގެ ދިރުންތައް ބޭނުންކުރެވެނީ ދެމެހެއްޓެނިވި ގޮތެއްގައިކަން ޔަޤީންކުރުމުގެ ގޮތުން 19 ޖޫން 2023 ގައި ފާސްކޮށްފައިވާ މުޢާހަދާއެކެވެ. މި މުޢާހަދާ ތަންފީޛުކުރަން ފެށުމަށް 60 ޤައުމަކުން ތަސްދީޤުކުރަން ޖެހޭ އިރު، މިހާތަނަށް 55 ޤައުމަކުން މި މުޢާހަދާ ތަސްދީޤުކޮށްފައިވެއެވެ.

Director General,  Dr. Hussain Sinan,  emphasised how deeply our communities depend on the ocean; highlighting the how its health is intertwined with the survival of our communities. 

Maldives highlighted that the #BBNJ Agreement is a unique opportunity to:

- Strengthen cooperation across instruments, frameworks & bodies, including RFMOs and Multilateral Environmental Agreements.

- Ensure that small island states not only have a seat at the table, but also the means to participate fully and meaningfully.

- Empower developing states by building their capacity and enabling them to work alongside global experts. 

Maldives  further stressed that by operationalising the #BBNJ Agreement based on the principles of cooperation, fairness & real capacity-building, we can ensure that it benefits all, especially those whose lives are tied to the sea.

ބީ.ބީ.އެން.ޖޭ އެގްރިމެންޓް: ކަނޑުގެ ވަސީލަތައް ރައްކާތެރިކުރުމުގެ ބައިނަލްއަޤުވާމީ މުޢާހަދާގައި ދިވެހިރާއްޖޭގެ ބައިވެރިވުން

"އަގުއެއްކުރި މަހުގެ އުފެއްދުން ތައްޔާރުކުރުމާއި ކުދި ވިޔަފާރި ހިންގާ ބެލެހެއްޓުމުގެ" ތަމްރީން ޕްރޮގްރާމެއް، ފ. ނިލަންދޫގައި 04 އޮގަސްޓް 2025 ވަނަ ދުވަހު ފެށިއްޖެއެވެ. މިވުޒާރާއިން ހިންގާ މިތަމްރީނު މި އޮގަސްޓް މަހުގެ 04 އިން 08 ވަނަ ދުވަހުގެ ނިޔަލަށް ކުރިޔަށް ދާނެއެވެ. މިތަމްރީނުގައި ޖުމްލަ 11 ބޭފުޅުން ބައިވެރިވިއެވެ. އެއީ 06 އަންހެން ބޭފުޅުންނާއި  އަދި 05 ފިރިހެން ބޭފުޅެކެވެ.

މިތަމްރީނުގައި މަހުން ތައްޔާރުކުރާ އަގުއެއްކުރި ބާވަތްތަކާއި ގުޅޭ މަޢުލޫމާތުދީ އަދި އަމަލީގޮތުން އެތަކެތި ބައިވެރިން ތައްޔާރުކުރުމުގެ ފުރުޞަތު ފަހިކޮށްދެވޭނެއެވެ. ވިޔަފާރީގެ އުޞުލޫން މިފަދަ މަސައްކަތެއްކުރުމަށް ބޭނުންވާ މަޢުލޫމާތާއި ބައެއް ހުނަރު ބައިވެރިންނަށް ދަސްކޮށްދެވޭނެއެވެ.

މި ތަމްރީނު ޕްރޮގްރާމް ގައި މަޢުލޫމާތު ދެއްވަނީ މިވުޒާރާގެ ފަންނީ ތިން މުވައްޒަފުންނެވެ.

The Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources is conducting a Training Programme on Value-Added Monthly Production and Small Business Management in F. Nilandhoo.

The training programme began on 4 August 2025 and will continue until 8 August 2025 in F. Nilandhoo. A total of 11 participants, including 6 women and 5 men, have participated in the training session.

The participants will be provided with information on value-added products that can be produced monthly, alongside practical hands-on experience in product development.

Additionally, they will learn essential business fundamentals and specialised skills required for establishing and operating their own business.

The programme is being conducted by technical officers from the Ministry, including Deputy Director General Mr Adam Manik and Fisheries Officer Ahsan Mohamed.

Minister Ahmed Shiyam, met with Mr. Adnan Cheema, the newly appointed Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to the Republic of Maldives. 

During the meeting, Minister Shiyam outlined the Ministry's strategic priorities and highlighted the critical role of the Maldives Marine Research Institute in supporting sustainable fisheries.

The discussion focused on potential areas for collaboration, including enhancing value addition through improved processing, promoting sustainable financing mechanisms, empowering women involved in small-scale fish processing, and strengthening the resilience of the fisheries sector.

As part of an initiative to enhance the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning capacities of the RSW Financing Project, the Lives & Livelihoods Fund (LLF) launched an Adaptive Results-Based Management (aRBM) program. 

In the event, LLF introduced the program, its principles and its role in monitoring project progress, to all key stakeholders and set the foundation for its implementation in the Maldives. The aRBM is a results-based program that facilitates adaptive management, learning, and data-driven decision-making for long-term project sustainability.

This program is being implemented under the “Support People's Livelihoods in the Fishery Sector in Maldives through Sustainable Energy” project, organized by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and supported through the Lives & Livelihoods Fund (LLF).

This initiative marks a significant step toward improving transparency, accountability, and effectiveness in the fisheries sector—an essential component of the Maldivian economy and community well-being.

Minister Ahmed Shiyam met with His Excellency Xiaokui, Vice Governor of Fujian Province, His Excellency Kong Xianhua, Ambassador of China to the Maldives; and a visiting delegation from Fujian Province to discuss enhanced cooperation in marine economic development.

The meeting reflected on the strengthening partnership between the Maldives and China in the blue economy sector, following His Excellency President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s recent State Visit to China.

During the discussions, the Minister expressed appreciation for Fujian Province’s technical support to the Maldives Marine Research Institute in advancing the sea cucumber aquaculture programme. He also acknowledged the growing involvement of Chinese private sector partners in aquaculture development.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation through expanded technical training in fisheries and aquaculture, collaborative maritime research, and increased investment in aquaculture and sports fishing ventures in the Maldives.

ވަޒީރު ވިދާޅުވީ ދުނިޔޭގެ ބޮޑެތި ބައެއް މާކެޓްތަކުގައި ރާއްޖެއިން އަދިވެސް ބޮޑު ޓެރިފް އެއް ދައްކަންޖެހުމަކީ ދިމާވާ އެންމެ ބޮޑު ގޮންޖެހުން ކަމަށެވެ.

ދެމެހެއްޓެނިވި ގޮތެއްގައި ކަންކަން ނުކުރާ ބޮޑެތި ސިނާއީ ފްލީޓްތަކަށް ޑިއުޓީ ފްރީ އެކްސެސް ލިބޭއިރުވެސް، ޚާއްސަކޮށް ދުނިޔޭގެ އުތުރުގައި މުހިންމު މާކެޓްތަކުގައި ރާއްޖެއަށް ބޮޑު ޓެރިފްތަކެއް ދައްކަންޖެހޭކަން ވަޒީރުގެ ވާހަކަފުޅުގައި ފާހަގަކުރެއްވިއެވެ. އަދި މިއީ މި އިފްތިތާހްކުރި ރާއްޖޭގެ ހާއްސަ ބްރޭންޑް "ފްރޮމް މޯލްޑިވްސް" މުހިންމުވާ އެއް ސަބަބުކަމަށް ވަޒީރު ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ.

ވަޒީރު ވިދާޅުވީ އުންމީދަކީ، ދިވެހި މަސްވެރިން އުފުލަމުންދާ ބުރައަށް މިކަމުގެ ސަބަބުން ކޮންމެވެސް ވަރެއްގެ ލުޔެއް ލިބުން ކަމަށެވެ. އަދި ދިވެހިންގެ އުފެއްދުންތަކުގެ ހަގީގީ އަގު ދުނިޔޭގެ ބާޒާރުގައި ބަލައިގަނެ ބައިނަލްއަގުވާމީގޮތުން ބަލައިގެންފައިވާ ޕްރޮޑަކްޓަކަށް ރާއްޛޭގެ މަސްވެރިންގެ އުފެއްދުންތައް ވެގެންދިއުން ކަމަށް ވަޒީރު ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ.

Minister Ahmed Shiyam stated that the newly launched 'From Maldives' brand will provide solutions to the challenges faced in introducing Maldivian products to international markets.

The Minister made these remarks at the Maldives-UK Business Forum, the eighth in the Global Series, held as part of the Minister's ongoing official visit to the United Kingdom.

Minister Ahmed  Shiyam highlighted the international market challenges faced by the Maldivian fishing industry. He emphasised that paying high tariffs in major global markets remains the biggest challenge for the Maldives.

In his speech, the Minister  highlighted that large industrial fleets that do not operate sustainably have duty-free access, the Maldives still has to pay high tariffs in crucial markets, particularly in the northern hemisphere. Minister also noted, that this is one of the key reasons why the newly launched 'From Maldives' national brand holds particular significance.

The Minister expressed that the initiative would offer relief to the challenges faced by Maldivian fishermen. In addition, outlined the objective of ensuring that the true value of Maldivian products is recognised in the global marketplace, with the aim of establishing them as internationally accepted commodities.

, a new national fisheries promotional brand, during an official event held today in London, United Kingdom. The launch was officiated by His Excellency Dr Mohamed Muizzu, President of the Republic of Maldives, and marks a significant advancement in how the country positions one of its most iconic sectors on the global stage.

Featuring a logo inspired by the traditional Maldivian fishing vessel design, the texture of fish, and the richness of the country’s marine life, the brand reflects a broader vision to transform the fisheries sector into one that is not only environmentally sustainable, but also technologically advanced, socially inclusive, and globally competitive. It symbolises the country's enduring connection to the ocean while embracing the tools and standards required to meet the demands of a rapidly changing market.

Under this initiative, the Maldives is expanding its processing capacity, investing in cold storage infrastructure, and modernising its fleet with energy-efficient vessels and digital monitoring systems. These upgrades are designed to strengthen traceability, improve catch quality, and enhance market access, particularly for premium and sustainability-conscious consumers.

Minister Ahmed Shiyam visited the Mawei Aquatic Products Trading Centre, the largest facility of its kind in China. The Centre specialises in facilitating the trade of a wide range of aquatic products by connecting fishers, suppliers, and both local and international traders. It also serves as a central hub for domestic seafood distribution.

The Centre's operational model demonstrates significant potential to enhance and strengthen seafood trade in the Maldives, particularly in light of the ongoing expansion of the country's aquaculture sector.

Minister Ahmed Shiyam witnessed the signing of Aquaculture and Marine Resource Management between the Maldives and China. The signing ceremony was held in Xiamen, Chin.

The Maldives Marine Research Institute (MMRI), Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources, Republic of Maldives,  has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Fisheries Research Institute of Fujian, People’s Republic of China.

Mohamed Shimaal, Director General of the Maldives Marine Research Institute, signed the Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of the Government of Maldives.

This MoU aims to strengthen strategic cooperation between two countries, focusing on research in sustainable aquaculture and marine resource management by jointly developing innovative and environmentally friendly aquaculture technologies, and promoting the sustainable management of the Ocean.

 އެކުއަކަލްޗަރ ސިނާޢަތް  ތަރައްޤީކުރުމަށް ދިވެހިރާއްޖެއާއި ޗައިނާއާއި ދެމެދު  ފަހުމުނާމާގައި ސޮއިކުރުމުގެ ރަސްމިއްޔާތުގައި މިނިސްޓަރ އަހުމަދު ޝިއާމް ބައިވެރިވެވަޑައިގެންނަވައިފި.

ފަރުމަހުގެ މަސްވެރިކަން މޮނިޓާކުރުމުގެ ސާވޭތަކެއް މ.އަތޮޅު މުލީގައި ފަށައިފިއެވެ.

ޓްރާންސްފޯމް މަޝްރޫއުގެ ދަށުން ކުރިއަށްގެންދާ ފަރުމަހުގެ މަސްވެރިކަން މޮނިޓާ ކުރުމުގެ ސާވޭ އަކީ މޯލްޑިވްސް މެރިން ރިސާޗް ސެންޓަރުގެ ސައިންސް އަދި ދިރާސާ ޓީމުން މިއަހަރު ކުރިއަށްގެންދާ 6 ވަނަ ސަވޭ އެވެ.

މި ސާވޭތަކުން ލިބޭ މައުލޫމާތާއި ހޯދުންތަކުން ރަށު ފެންވަރުގެ މަސްވެރިކަމާއި އޭގެ ސަބަބުން ފަރުމަހުގެ އަބާދީއަށް ކުރާ އަސަރުތައް އިތުރަށް ދެނެގަތުމަށް މަގުފަހިވެގެންދާނެ އެވެ. އަދި ހެކިތަކުގެ މައްޗަށް ބިނާކޮށް މަސްވެރިކަން މެނޭޖްކުރުން ހަރުދަނާވެގެންދާނެ އެވެ.

މި ސާވޭ ކުރިއަށް ގެންދިއުމުގައި މ.މުލި ކައުންސިލާއި ރަށުގެ މަސްވެރިންނާއި މަސް ޕްރޮސެސްކުރާ ފަރާތްތަކާއި މަސް ގަންނަ ފަރާތްތަކުން ވެދެއްވި އެހީތެރިކަން ފާހަގަކޮށްލެވެއެވެ.

މީގެއިތުރަށް ފަރުމަހާއި މިޔަރާ މަޑީގެ އާބާދީ ދެނެގަތުމަށް މާލެ އަތޮޅުގައިވެސް ސާވޭ އެއް ކުރިއަށް ގެންގޮސްފައިވެއެވެ.

As part of the TransFORM project, the science and research team is in M. Muli this week on their sixth research trip of the year, conducting reef fisheries monitoring surveys. Findings from these surveys will provide a better understanding of local fisheries and their impacts on reef fish populations, strengthening evidence-based fisheries management. 

The team extends sincere gratitude to the local fishers, processors, buyers, and the Secretariat of the Muli Council for their invaluable support in making this work possible.

ދިވެހިރާއްޖޭގެ އިޤްތިޞާދީ ކުރިއެރުމަށް އިތުރު ދުވެއްޔެއް ގެނައުމުގެ މަޤްޞަދުގައި، އައްޑޫ ސިޓީގައި މަސްވެރިކަމާއި ކަނޑުދަތުރުފަތުރުގެ ލޮޖިސްޓިކް ހަބެއް ޤާއިމުކުރުމުގެ މުހިންމު މަޝްރޫޢެއް ކުރިއަށް ގެންދިއުމަށްޓަކައި، ޗައިނާ މެޝިނަރީ އިންޖިނިއަރިންގ ކޯޕަރޭޝަން (ސީ.އެމް.އީ.ސީ) އާއެކު ފަހުމުނާމާއެއްގައި ސަރުކާރުން ސޮއިކުރައްވައިފިއެވެ. މި އެއްބަސްވުމުގައި ސަރުކާރުގެ ފަރާތުން ސޮއިކުރެއްވީ މަސްވެރިކަމާއި ކަނޑުގެ ވަސީލަތްތަކާބެހޭ ވަޒީރު އަޙްމަދު ޝިޔާމެވެ.

މި މަޝްރޫއަކީ ޤައުމުގެ އިޤްތިޞާދީ ތަރައްޤީއަށް މަގުފަހިކޮށްދޭނެ، އަދި ދެކުނުގެ މަސްވެރިކަމުގެ ސިނާޢަތުގެ ތަރައްޤީއަށް އައު ދޮރެއް ހުޅުވާލައިދޭނެ މުހިންމު މަޝްރޫއެކެވެ. އައްޑޫ ސިޓީގެ ލޮކޭޝަންއަކީ މަސްވެރިކަމުގެ ސިނާޢަތު ކުރިއެރުވުމަށް އެންމެ އެކަށޭނެ އެއް ސަރަހައްދުކަމަށް ބެލެވެއެވެ. މި މަޝްރޫޢު ފެށުމުގެ މައިގަނޑު މަޤްޞަދަކީ އައްޑޫ ސިޓީގައި މަސްވެރިކަމުގެ ސިނާޢަތު ކުރިއެރުވުމަށް ބޭނުންވާ ޒަމާނީ ވަސީލަތްތަކާއި، ކަނޑުދަތުރުފަތުރުގެ ލޮޖިސްޓިކްސްގެ ޚިދުމަތްތައް ފުޅާކޮށް ތަރައްޤީކުރުމެވެ. މީގެ ސަބަބުން ދެކުނުގެ އަތޮޅުތަކުގެ މަސްވެރިންނަށް ގިނަ ފަސޭހަތަކެއް ލިބި، މަސްވެރިކަމުން ލިބޭ އާމްދަނީ އިތުރުވެގެންދާނެކަމަށް ސަރުކާރުން އުންމީދުކުރެއެވެ.

މި ފަހުމުނާމާގެ ދަށުން، މި މަޝްރޫޢުގެ ތަފްޞީލީ މާސްޓަރ ޕްލޭނާއި، މާލީ އަދި އިޤްތިޞާދީ ފައިދާގެ ދިރާސާތަކުގެ އިތުރުން، މަޝްރޫޢު ހިންގާނެ ވިޔަފާރި މޮޑެލްއާއި ފައިނޭންސްކުރެވޭނެ ގޮތްތަކާ ބެހޭގޮތުން ދެ ފަރާތުން ގުޅިގެން މަޝްވަރާކޮށް، ފުޅާ ދާއިރާއެއްގައި މަސައްކަތްކުރުމަށް ވަނީ އެއްބަސްވެފައެވެ. ސަރުކާރުގެ އަމާޒަކީ ދެކުނުގެ އިޤްތިޞާދު އާލާކޮށް، ގިނަ ފުރުޞަތުތަކެއް އުފެއްދުމެވެ.

މި ފަހުމުނާމާތަކުގައި ސޮއިކުރެއްވުމުގެ ރަސްމިއްޔާތު ބޭއްވުނީ، ދިވެހިރާއްޖޭގެ ރައީސުލްޖުމްހޫރިއްޔާ މިހާރު ޗައިނާއަށް ކުރައްވަމުން ގެންދަވާ ރަސްމީ ދަތުރުފުޅުގައެވެ. މި ދަތުރުފުޅަކީ ޗައިނާގެ ރައީސް ޝީ ޖިންޕިންގގެ ޚާއްޞަ ދަޢުވަތަކަށް، ޝަންހާއީ ކޯޕަރޭޝަން އޯގަނައިޒޭޝަން (އެސް.ސީ.އޯ) ގެ އަހަރީ ސަމިޓުގައި ބައިވެރިވެވަޑައިގަތުމަށް ކުރައްވާ ދަތުރުފުޅެކެވެ.

The Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with China’s Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC) to advance an important project to establish a fisheries and maritime logistics hub in Addu City.

The MoU was signed by Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Resources, Ahmed Shiyam, on behalf of the Government of Maldives.

The location of Addu City is considered one of the suitable areas for developing fisheries industry.

The (MoU) aim of bringing further development to the Maldives economy and open a new door for the development of the fisheries sector in the south.

As a result, fishermen in the southern atolls will benefit from improved facilities and increased support. These enhancements will lead to better income from fishing and contribute to improved livelihoods

މިނިސްޓްރީ އޮފް ފިޝަރީޒް އެންޑް އޯޝަން ރިސޯސަސްއާއި ޗައިނާގެ މަސްވެރިކަމުގެ ދާއިރާގައި ފާހަގަކޮށްލެވޭ ކުންފުންޔެއް ކަމަށްވާ، ހޮންގްޑޮންގް ފިޝަރީ ކޯޕަރޭޝަނާއި ދެމެދު ދިވެހިރާއްޖޭގެ މެރިކަލްޗަރ ދާއިރާ ތަރައްޤީކުރުމަށްޓަކައި ފަހުމުނާމާއެއްގައި ސޮއިކުރައްވައިފިއެވެ.

މި ފަހުމުނާމާގެ މައިގަނޑު މަޤްޞަދަކީ ދިވެހިރާއްޖޭގެ މެރިކަލްޗަރ ސިނާޢަތް ޒަމާނީ ފެންވަރަށް ތަރައްޤީކޮށް، ވަކި ސިނާޢަތެއްގެ ގޮތުގައި ކުރިއެރުވުމެވެ.

ދިވެހި ސަރުކާރުގެ ފަރާތުން މި ފަހުމުނާމާގައި ސޮއިކުރެއްވީ މިނިސްޓްރީ އޮފް ފިޝަރީޒް އެންޑް އޯޝަން ރިސޯސަސްގެ ވަޒީރު، އަޙްމަދު ޝިޔާމްއެވެ.

މި ފަހުމު ނާމާގައި ސޮއިކުރެއްވީ ރައީސުލްޖުމްހޫރިއްޔާ ޑރ. މުޙައްމަދު މުއިއްޒު   މިހާރު ޗައިނާއަށް ކުރައްވަމުން ގެންދަވާ ރަސްމީ ދަތުރުފުޅުގެ ތެރެއިންނެވެ. މި ދަތުރުފުޅަކީ ޗައިނާގެ ރައީސް ޝީ ޖިންޕިންގގެ ޚާއްޞަ ދަޢުވަތަކަށް، ޝަންހާއީ ކޯޕަރޭޝަން އޯގަނައިޒޭޝަން (އެސް.ސީ.އޯ)ގެ ސަމިޓުގައި ބައިވެރިވެވަޑައިގަތުމަށް ކުރައްވާ ރަސްމީ ދަތުރުފުޅެކެވެ.

މެރިކަލްޗަރ ސިނާޢަތް ވަކި ސިނާޢަތެއްގެ ގޮތުގައި ތަރައްޤީކުރުމަކީ ރައީސުލްޖުމްހޫރިއްޔާ ޑރ. މުޙައްމަދު މުއިއްޒުގެ  އަމާޒެކެވެެ. އަދި  އެމަނިކުފާނު ހާއްސަ އިސްކަމެއް ދެއްވައިގެން މަސްވެރިކަން ތަރއްގީކުރުމަށް ކުރައްވަމުން ގެންދަވާ މަސައްކަތުގެ ތެރެއިން ފާހަގަކޮށްލެވޭ މަސައްކަތެކެވެ.

The Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hangdog Fisheries Corporation Ltd, a leading Chinese fishing enterprise, to support the development of the mariculture sector in the Maldives.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) outlines  the development and advancement of the mariculture sector, with the objective of establishing it as a separate industry.

The MoU was signed by the Minister Ahmed Shiyam, on behalf of the Government of the Maldives.

ކަނޑުގެ ސައިންސާއި ޓެކްނޮލޮޖީ ތަރައްޤީކުރުމަސް ޗައިނާއާއި ދިވެހިރާއްޖެ ގުޅިގެން މަސައްކަތް ކުރުމާ ގުޅޭގޮތުން މަސްވެރިކަމާ ކަނޑުގެ ވަސީލަތްތަކާ ބެހޭ ވަޒީރު އަހުމަދު ޝިޔާމްއާއި ޗައިނާގެ މިނިސްޓްރީ އޮފް ނެޗުރަލް ރިސޯސަސްގެ ދަށުން ހިންގާ ފަސްޓް އިންސްޓިޓިއުޓް އޮފް އޯޝަނޮގްރަފީ (އެފްއައިއޯ) ގެެ ޑިރެކްޓަރ ޖެނެރަލް، ޕްރޮފެސަރ ޓީގަންގ ލީ މަޝްވަރާކުރައްވައިފިއެވެ.

މަސްވެރިކަމާ ކަނޑުގެ ވަސީލަތްތަކާ ބެހޭ ވުޒާރަގައި މިއަދު ކުރިއަށްދިޔަ މި ބައްދަލުކުރެއްވުމުގައި ފަސްޓް އިންސްޓިޓިއުޓް އޮފް އޯޝަނޮގްރަފީ (އެފްއައިއޯ) ގެ ިރެކްޓަރ ޖެނެރަލް، ޕްރޮފެސަރ ޓީގަންގ ލީ ގެ އިތުރުން އެފްއައިއޯގެ އިސްބޭފުޅުން ބައިވެރިވެވަޑައިގެންނެވިއެވެ. އަދި ވުޒާރަގެ ފަރާތުން ވަޒީރު ޝިޔާމްއާއި ވުޒާރާގެ އިސްބޭފުޅުން ބައިވެރިވެވަޑައިގެންނެވިއެވެ.

މި މަޝްވަރާ ބައްދަލުކުރެއްވުމުގައި ކަނޑުގެ ސައިންސާއި ޓެކްނޮލޮޖީގެ ދާއިރާއިން އެއްބާރުލުން އިތުރުކުރުމާ އެ ދާއިރާ އިތުރަށް ތަރައްގީކޮށް ދެ ގައުމު ގުޅިގެން އެއްބާރުލުން ދިނުމާގުޅޭގޮތުން ފުޅާ ދާއިރާއެއްގައި މަޝްވަރާ ކުރެއްވިއެވެ. އެގޮތުން އެކުގައި ކުރާ ދިރާސާތަކުގެ ހުށަހެޅުންތަކާއި، ތަމްރީނު އަދި ޤާބިލުކަން އިތުރުކުރުމުގެ ޕްރޮގްރާމްތަކާއި، ސައިންޓިފިކް މަޢުލޫމާތު ބަދަލުކުރުމާ ގުޅޭގޮތުން މަޝްވަރާކުރެއްވިއެވެ.

މީގެއިތުރުން ދިވެހިރާއްޖޭގައި ދެމެހެއްޓެނިވި ގޮތެއްގައި ކަނޑުގެ ވަސީލަތްތައް މެނޭޖްކުރުމުގެ ޤާބިލުކަން ވަރުގަދަކުރުމަށް ކުރިއަށް އޮތްތަނުގައި ދެ ގައުމު ގުޅިގެން ކުރިއަށްގެންދާނެ މަސައްކަތްތަކާއި ކުރިމަގުގައި އެކުގައި މަސައްކަތްކުރުމަށް ރާވާފައިވާ އެހެނިހެން މަސައްކަތްތަކާ ގުޅޭގޮތުންވެސް މި ބައްދަލުވުމުގައި މަޝްވަރާކުރެއްވިއެވެ.

Minister Ahmed Shiyam met with a delegation from the First Institute of Oceanography (FIO), Ministry of Natural Resources, China, led by Prof. Tiegang Li, Director General of FIO. 

The discussions focused on advancing cooperation in ocean sciences and technological development, covering joint proposals, training programs, scientific exchanges, and future collaborative initiatives.
