Ministry has signed an agreement with 3 Way Enterprises Private Limited to establish an ice production and storage facility in Meemu Mulaku.

The facility will have a production capacity of 30 tonnes of ice per day and a storage capacity of 60 tonnes.

The Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources has signed an agreement with 3 Way Enterprises Private Limited for the establishment of an ice production and storage facility in Meemu Mulaku. The facility will have a production capacity of 30 tonnes of ice per day and a storage capacity of 60 tonnes in Meemu Mulaku.
The signing ceremony was held on 21 September 2025 in Meemu Mulaku. The agreement was signed by Minister Ahmed Shiyam on behalf of the Ministry, and Dr Ikleel Shareef, Director of 3 Way Enterprises Private Limited.
The project is being carried out under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme of 3 Way Enterprises Private Limited, the company awarded the Malé Atoll Mariculture Project.
The construction work for the ice plant to be established is scheduled to be completed within an eight-month period, according to the contract.
