Land Handover Agreement Signed for Skipjack Processing Facility Development in Hulhumalé

As part of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu's pledges, the Housing Development Corporation Limited (HDC) has officially handed over a designated plot of land in Hulhumalé to the Ministry of Finance and Planning. The land has been allocated for the establishment of a Skipjack Processing Facility.

Managing Director Ali Zuhair signed the agreement on behalf of HDC, State Minister Hussein Sham signed on behalf of the Ministry of Finance and Planning, and Minister Ahmed Shiyam signed on behalf of the Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources on October 23, 2025.

The facility, which is funded by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), will establish a skipjack processing facility on the land.
