First Steering Committee Meeting of TRANSFORM Project 2025

The first Steering Committee meeting of 2025 for the Transforming Fisheries Sector Management in the South-West Indian Ocean Region and Maldives (TRANSFORM) Project was held today. This project, supported by World Bank assistance, aims to develop the Maldives' fisheries sector.

The meeting was focused on detailed information with committee members about the project's progress to date and planned activities. The 2025 budget proposed at the meeting was unanimously approved by committee members.

Minister Ahmed Shiyam was accompanied at the meeting by senior officials from the Ministry of Finance, ministry staff, and industry representatives.
